Our Mission

Our Mission is simple: to provide you with the finest dental treatment available, by compassionate doctors and staff, with the most advanced equipment and technology, in a very warm and caring environment.   Think of us as an extension of your General Dentist's office.  When specialty root canal therapy is needed, your care is entrusted to us to help you get back to health.  After your feeling much better following the root canal therapy, your General Dentist office will take over in providing your comprehensive dental care.

Practice Profile

Salt Lake Endodontics PC is a dental practice limited to the Specialty of Endodontics, or Root Canal Therapy.   Dr Mitchell G Rudd DDS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.  To become a Diplomate, Dr Rudd completed three additional challenging examinations beyond what is necessary to become an Endodontist.  Only approximately 20% of all Endodontists are Board Certified.  This higher level of demonstrated knowledge and skill translates into better problem solving, decision making, analysis, creativity and treatment of each patient.  Because root canal therapy can be a frightening experience to someone who has heard "horror stories" or had a negative experience of their own, a properly trained and experienced clinician can make all the difference.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

In an ongoing effort to provide you with the best care possible, our practice has recently acquired the KODAK 9000 Extraoral 3D Imaging System.  High resolution radiographic 3D imaging has revolutionized the practice of dentistry, especially in the fields of endodontics and dental implants.  Benefits include:

  • Extremely low radiation compared to medical CT scans
  • High resolution 3D X-Ray Imaging
  • More accurate diagnosis of endodontic pathosis
  • Better assessment of root canal morphology
  • Improved identification of lesions of non-endodontic origin
  • Easier evaluation of root fractures and dental trauma
  • Greater accuracy in analyzing internal and external root resorption
  • Strategic planning of endodontic surgeries and dental implants

If required to aid in your diagnosis or treatment, we have this breakthrough technology readily available in our office.  The doctors and staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have about whether a CBCT scan is right for you.
